I had a chance to hang with Team Rollerblade as I was traveling back home to Brooklyn. The team made a few skate park stops and local town stops for some sessioning and fun. They have the top competing athletes on the pro tour right now.
Franky Morales who won the Street Comp at Bristol X Trials is now qualified to skate the X Games. He is one of the new style masters with that “squat” style similar to Jon Julio and Louie Zamora. Franky is a Cuban cutie from Miami…..sorry girls he’s in-love with me, wait your turn….. right - Franky Morales and Kate

Matt Lindenmuth is on the raise again in is career. He’s been attempting double back flips and living at camp Woodward. Team manager and veteran to the scene, Mr. 900, Corey Miller was hanging along with Mike Budnik who’s ranked one of the top skaters on the tour in both vert and street. Indecently, did anyone see Mike in the May addition Sports Illustrated for Women, which was their swimsuit addition? Mike was chosen among may star male athletes to show off his perfect 6 pack……what is this sport coming to?????? LoL ...

We ended up at this small park were we ran into this your girl named Meriella. Meriella is 11 and likes to skateboard and rollerblade. After speaking with her Dad who drove almost 2 hours so she can skate at a very small park in Connecticut, (sorry forgot the name, doesn’t matter because it suck- mostly for skateboarders) he said she is addicted to the extreme sports. She’s also started snowboarding last season. Go Meriella Go.

Santiago Azpurua was chilling, recovering from a nasty sprained ankle. Santy is the cool one of the bunch. He’s a trip and loves to chat about interesting things other then skating. He grew up all over South America because his mother is a Diplomat. He lives in Venezuela and surfs all day long……..must be nice.

There were a few amateurs traveling on the road trip who were trying some street stunts. Check out Selwin Briggs from the Philly area doing this 540 gap while the others where shooting him with water pistols. Selwin can be seen in the Chris Majette video Poetry in Motion out now.

Onto another location where horse playing became the focus. Here’s Budnik giving Lindenmuth a wedgie while Franky was aiming for his butt. Guys, guys, guys, this ambiguous behavior looks questionable to your intentions…….just kidding.

Finally we relaxed in the shade for some lunch. The entire team were supper cool and made me feel like I was a pro again.
Thanks guys and especially Rick the Rollerblade rep- who made it a point to include me in his convoy.
